AMA Expedition is structured in phases that combine preparation, international
collaboration and on-site activities in Egypt. The calendar below is indicative
and will be refined together with institutional partners and sponsors.
Phase I · 2025–2026
Institutional foundations
Consolidation of the project’s identity, diplomatic dossiers, partnerships with
cultural and scientific institutions, and the official launch of the AMA Expedition
website and communication materials.
Phase II · 2026
Alliances & sponsors
Engagement of strategic partners in Uruguay, Egypt and abroad: embassies, ministries,
universities, observatories, museums, foundations and private companies supporting
the Expedition.
Phase III · Early 2027
Pre-eclipse activation
Exhibitions, talks and media outreach introducing the AMA vision. Educational
content about the eclipse, ancient Egyptian cosmology and the Dream of a Night
in Giza series.
Phase IV · July–August 2027
Luxor AMA Week
Artistic and astronomical activities in Luxor: exhibition of the paintings,
book presentations, open-air installations and guided observations before, during
and after totality.
Phase V · After 2027

Production of a documentary, catalogues and travelling shows in different cities,
consolidating AMA Expedition as a long-term cultural reference between Uruguay,
Egypt and the international community.
